As a Senior Software Developer, you will collaborate with a team of skilled professionals dedicated to the development, enhancement and support of our cutting-edge Sports Trading Platform. Working within the Trading and Tools team, you will lead the development of a diverse range of applications, including desktop solutions such as WPF & WinForms, backend services such as .NET & Golang, and SQL Server stored procedures. Your contribution will be vital in delivering real‑time data through our innovative trading platform, empowering the trading department to create, configure and trade sporting and non‑sporting events, enabling customers to place bets on a vast array of outcomes. Our technology stack features C# .NET, SQL Server, and Golang. In‑house training will be provided to further enhance your skills, and this role presents exciting challenges in a hardworking, delivery‑focused environment. This role is eligible for inclusion in the Company’s hybrid working from home policy.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Extensive commercial C# experience.
  • Solid understanding of Windows applications and services.
  • Coaching and mentoring experience on technical subject areas.
  • Commercial exposure to Golang.
  • Exposure to WPF or willingness to learn.
  • Self‑driven with ability to understand complex architecture.
  • Demonstrable experience of delivering high quality and scalable software solutions.
  • Self‑motivation and delivery orientated in a fast‑paced environment with a flair for problem solving.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

What you will be doing

  • Developing low latency, highly available, and scalable solutions that process high volumes of data.
  • Creating work effort estimates.
  • Contributing to solution proposals as required.
  • Supporting and enhancing the existing code base and performing root cause analysis to create solutions to stop fault reoccurrence.
  • Enhancing and supporting existing trading functions, some of which are used 24/7.
  • Supporting Product Owners as required.
  • Mentoring and supporting less experienced development staff.
  • Supporting the testing team during testing phases of projects.
  • Providing technical guidance and mentorship to support team members' professional development.
  • Identifying technical areas of improvement.
