As a Security Guard, you will join the Health, Safety and Security team to support the continued expansion of our offices in Stoke‑on‑Trent. This full‑time role offers the opportunity to demonstrate exemplary customer service skills while engaging with staff, clients, and visitors.

Required qualifications

  • Applicants must hold a valid full UK driving licence.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • A valid SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guarding Licence
  • Previous experience in security, law enforcement or military service
  • Action Counters Terrorism (ACT) awareness and ACT Security certificates or equivalent awareness/training
  • Ability to operate and monitor CCTV and other surveillance systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, maintaining a professional manner at all times
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify potential security risks
  • Basic IT skills to use reporting and monitoring software
  • Proven ability to remain calm under pressure and handle emergency situations efficiently

What you will be doing

  • Ensuring all security control measures are strictly adhered to and that standard operating procedures are always followed.
  • Producing accurate, detailed, and comprehensive incident reports for management review.
  • Meeting and greeting staff and visitors in a polite, professional, and customer‑focused manner.
  • Supporting front‑desk security duties, including controlling site access and issuing visitor passes.
  • Overseeing site activity by actively monitoring surveillance equipment, including CCTV systems.
  • Conducting regular patrols of the premises to ensure the safety and security of the site.
  • Responding to incidents and emergencies in a calm and effective manner.
