Overview of the role
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Project Manager to provide operational and project coordination support across a dynamic portfolio of 12 stock and inventory projects. This will be on an initial 6 month FTC basis. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys keeping multiple workstreams on track, aligned, and progressing effectively. This role also monitors project performance, identifies potential risks or delays, and provides regular updates to project leads and management.
Main Responsibilities
- Coordinate and support delivery of 12 concurrent stock and inventory projects, ensuring all activities, milestones, and outputs are completed to agreed timelines and quality standards.
- Lead and facilitate project meetings, including preparing agendas, capturing actions, allocating responsibilities, and ensuring follow‑up to maintain project momentum.
- Assign and monitor tasks across project team members and stakeholders, making day‑to‑day decisions on prioritisation, sequencing, and issue resolution to ensure effective project progression.
- Track project performance and key metrics, proactively identifying risks, delays, or resourcing gaps, and escalating issues to project leads or management when required.
- Provide regular written and verbal updates on project progress, risks, and outcomes to internal stakeholders, including senior managers, operational teams, and project sponsors.
- Act as the central coordination point between inventory teams, supply chain, retail, finance, operations, and external suppliers or partners, ensuring clear and timely communication across all parties.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including plans, trackers, reports, and risk logs, ensuring all project information is up to date, accessible, and compliant with organisational standards.
- Work closely with cross‑functional colleagues—including stock controllers, analysts, warehouse managers, procurement partners, and IT support teams—to ensure project goals are achieved collectively.
- Deliver defined project outputs, such as updated inventory processes, improved stock accuracy measures, system changes, or workflow improvements, ensuring each outcome meets operational needs and supports business objectives.
The Ideal Candidate
- 2-3 years experience in a similar coordination, project support, or operations‑focused role within a supply chain, warehouse, logistics, retail, or manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrable experience managing or coordinating multiple workstreams, updating plans, and maintaining progress across stakeholders.
- Must be comfortable leading meetings, assigning actions, influencing priorities, and driving follow‑through without formal authority.
