To be responsible for the management of Transport operations of the business, including the monitoring of all procedures to ensure full compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the operation and optimisation of company vehicles
  • Ensure all vehicles are compliant with legal standards
  • Ensure compliance with transport legislation (e.g. Operators' Licence, drivers' hours, WTD etc)
  • Plan and optimise routes to maximise efficiency, reduce cost and meet our customers' needs
  • Coordinate delivery schedules and adapt plans to changing operational needs
  • Recruit, train and supervise the transport team
  • Ensure excellent communication between all internal and external partners
  • Track KPIs such as delivery times, vehicle utilisation, fuel efficiency and compliance rates
  • Promote fuel efficiency through excellent driving practices

  • No convictions for failing to comply with UK licensing laws
