We currently have an opportunity for an Operations Manager to join our team. You will be responsible for ensuring the safe, effective, and efficient running of day-to-day depot operations, delivering an excellent experience for customers, colleagues, and stakeholders. You will support the General Manager in achieving and exceeding all depot KPIs, targets, and objectives while driving performance and operational excellence across the depot.
Responsibilities
- Support the General Manager in driving depot performance and achieving all KPIs and objectives.
- Lead and promote a performance-driven culture, motivating teams to deliver the best results.
- Ensure high standards of stock management, availability, and depot presentation.
- Drive on-time and in-full deliveries to build customer confidence and trust.
- Reduce order returns by improving delivery accuracy through effective leadership.
- Ensure excellent customer satisfaction and a consistently positive shopping experience.
- Oversee promotional execution and ensure compliance with company standards.
- Build strong relationships with Head Office, internal teams, customers, and stakeholders.
- Ensure all company policies, procedures, and Health & Safety regulations are adhered to.
- Deputise for the General Manager in their absence to ensure smooth depot operations.
- Drive productivity by being visible on the shop floor and coaching Team Leaders.
- Plan and manage resources effectively, including staffing and temporary labour requirements.
- Manage people-related matters such as performance, discipline, and grievances professionally.
- Analyse operational data to identify trends and implement solutions to improve efficiency.
- Promote and lead the Customer Satisfaction agenda across the depot.
