This is a great 14‑month maternity cover opportunity to work within a family‑owned business that puts our people first. The role start date is: 4th August 2026.

We are a small but mighty team of four PEOPLE generalists who pride ourselves on getting stuck in and meeting our team ambitions. We include our Head of PEOPLE, Retail Business Partner, Office Business Partner and PEOPLE Coordinator. About You

  • This role would suit an experienced HR Advisor stepping into a Business Partner role, or an established Junior Business Partner ready to take on greater ownership (5+ years’ experience).
  • Passionate about people development, engagement and wellbeing.
  • Proactive, collaborative and solutions‑focused.
  • Self‑motivated, who would enjoy the ‘freedom with responsibility’ approach at BESTSELLER.
  • Strong at building relationships and trust remotely across our store teams.
  • Hands‑on, with a “no job too big or small” mindset.
  • Curious and agile, with a drive to keep learning.

Your Role

  • Partner with leaders to drive PEOPLE strategy and align business priorities.
  • Support and deliver the UK PEOPLE Plan, ensuring strong implementation.
  • Manage the full employee lifecycle – from recruitment to development.
  • Drive engagement through surveys, insights and targeted initiatives.
  • Lead wellbeing and DEI activities to create an inclusive environment.
  • Provide end‑to‑end generalist support, including ER, monthly processing of payroll and process optimisation.
