We’re supporting a major transformation programme seeking an experienced Non-Functional Test (NFT) Environment Specialist to help deliver stable, resilient, and production-aligned test environments across a complex enterprise estate. This role sits at the intersection of infrastructure, testing, operational resilience, and platform engineering, supporting critical non-functional testing activities including performance, resilience, scalability, and failover testing. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring environments are available, controlled, representative of production, and capable of supporting large-scale testing activities across multiple delivery teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain non-functional test environments across complex platforms
- Support performance, resilience, failover, and scalability testing activities
- Coordinate environment provisioning, refreshes, deployments, and integrations
- Work closely with DevOps, infrastructure, QA, engineering, and cybersecurity teams
- Troubleshoot environment and configuration issues during test cycles
- Ensure environments remain stable, secure, and production-aligned
- Support environment automation and CI/CD integration where appropriate
- Maintain governance, documentation, and operational controls across environments
- Assist with capacity planning and operational resilience initiatives
Experience Required
- Experience supporting Non-Functional Testing (NFT) or performance testing environments
- Strong understanding of enterprise infrastructure and distributed systems
- Exposure to: Performance testing, Resilience testing, Environment management, Infrastructure support, Platform operations
- Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS or Azure
- Familiarity with DevOps tooling and CI/CD pipelines
- Knowledge of: Kubernetes / container platforms, Middleware and database environments, Monitoring and logging tools, Environment automation
Desirable
- Financial services or regulated-sector experience
- Exposure to operational resilience programmes
- Experience with tools such as: JMeter, LoadRunner, Dynatrace, Jenkins, GitLab, Terraform
