Cyber Security Manager – leading UK bank

We are working with a leading UK bank that is strengthening its cyber and operational resilience capability and seeking an exceptional Cyber Security Manager to shape its next phase of maturity.

This is a visible role at the centre of the bank’s transformation agenda. You’ll bring together cyber security and leadership into one cohesive strategy — building the foundations for a secure, adaptable enterprise that can anticipate and recover from disruption with confidence.

Base pay range

£55,000–£58,000 per annum

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of the bank’s cyber resilience roadmap, integrating cyber security and operational resilience disciplines.
• Manage and develop a multi-disciplinary team of security engineers and resilience specialists.
• Oversee scenario testing, continuity exercises, and supplier‑resilience programmes tied to critical business services.
• Ensure alignment with FCA/PRA, DORA, and NIS2 expectations, maintaining executive and regulatory confidence.
• Present clear, outcome‑driven updates to Board and Risk Committees.
• Act as a senior representative of the cyber function, deputising for the Group CISO when required.

About You

• Proven background in Cyber Security leadership, with a record of managing and developing high‑performing teams.
• Strong knowledge of banking or financial‑services environments and their regulatory landscape.
• Demonstrated experience uniting cyber, operational resilience, and business continuity under a common strategy.
• Skilled communicator — able to influence executives and translate complex technical risk into clear business outcomes.
• Pragmatic, collaborative, and comfortable operating in a fast‑moving regulatory setting.
