We are working with a leading company that serves millions of customers across the UK and Europe and is looking for a Controls Analyst.

You\’ll play a key role in strengthening the IT Controls operating model by identifying and addressing gaps and helping to establish a dedicated team focused on ensuring the quality and effectiveness of IT Controls within the Security GRC function, directly enhancing the security and resilience of the systems.

Responsibilities:

• Perform IT control assurance activities, identifying gaps and areas for improvement.
• Maintain and refine the IT control framework, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Review and validate control evidence to confirm effectiveness.
• Escalate and report risks, providing actionable insights for leadership.
• Advise on control design and implementation.
• Collaborate with auditors, ensuring seamless internal and external audits.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Security Knowledge – Strong understanding of IAM, encryption, authentication, and threat mitigation.
• Industry Experience – Energy, utilities, or cybersecurity background preferred.
• Framework Expertise – Familiarity with NIST, COBIT, ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials, SWIFT, and CPNI.
• Analytical & Communication Skills – Ability to translate complex risk concepts for stakeholders.
• Autonomy & Agility – Self-starter who thrives in fast-paced environments.
