Role Description This full-time, field-based Agricultural Consultant role covers South West England and is remote, with frequent travel to farms and veterinary practices in the region. The consultant will provide on-site technical advice on biological pest control solutions, assess farm conditions, and recommend appropriate products and strategies. Daily activities include visiting livestock farms, conducting assessments of pest issues, training customers on product use, and monitoring treatment outcomes. The role involves building strong relationships with farmers and distributors, answering technical inquiries, and supporting best practices in sustainable pest management. The consultant will also gather market and field feedback, collaborate with internal teams to improve services, and maintain accurate records and reports of visits and recommendations.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of agriculture, livestock management, and pest control, ideally with experience in biological or integrated pest management.
  • Ability to conduct on-farm assessments, interpret technical information, and provide clear, practical recommendations to customers.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in customer-facing advisory, consulting, or sales support roles.
  • Capability to work independently in a remote, field-based role, manage a regional schedule, and travel regularly across South West England.
  • Familiarity with basic data recording, reporting tools, and use of digital communication platforms for remote collaboration.
  • Relevant education in agriculture, animal science, environmental science, or a related field; equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
  • Valid driving licence and readiness to work on farms and in outdoor environments in varying weather conditions.
  • Commitment to sustainable farming practices and interest in biological pest control and animal welfare.
