Independent nursery dedicated to providing exceptional early childhood education in a warm, family-oriented environment. Our experienced team nurtures each child’s unique talents and fosters confidence, curiosity, and a love of learning from the very start. We are now looking for a Room Lead to join the team. The nursery is split across two locations in Parsons Green. The working hours are 40 hours per week and can be done over four days or five days.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To be accountable for the delivery of high quality inclusive early education, which is responsive to the needs of children and their families.
  • To lead practice within the classroom.
  • To monitor systems of assessment, recording and reporting on the progress in children’s development and learning.
  • To ensure that all practitioners understand the principles and content of the Early Years Foundation Stage and know how to put them into practice.
  • To ensure that practitioners have high expectations of all children and demonstrate commitment to ensuring that they can achieve their full potential.
  • To ensure that the service delivery is maintained within current legislative requirements including the Safeguarding and Welfare Requirements, Health and Safety and Safeguarding and the Learning and Development Requirements.
  • To contribute to the work of a multi-professional team and, where appropriate, coordinate and implement agreed programmes and interventions on a day-to-day basis.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

  • Recognised Early Years teaching qualification.
  • Strong previous experience working with children aged 2–5 in an Early Years or nursery setting.
  • Understanding of child development and early years pedagogy, including knowledge of EYFS, Reggio Emilia, or equivalent frameworks.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Strong classroom management, organisation, and planning skills with a focus on high-quality learning outcomes.
  • A passionate, child-centred approach with the ability to inspire curiosity, creativity, and a love of learning.
  • A reflective and adaptable mindset, committed to continuous improvement and professional growth.
