Salary ÂŁ45k + annual performance bonus

Small friendly nursery!

The Nursery is open 51 weeks per year, with 1 week closure at Christmas.

Working hours: 7.45am – 6:30pm, 4 days per week with 1 day off per week.

Annual Leave: 4 weeks paid annual leave, plus 1 additional day with every year of continuous employment (up to a maximum of 1 additional week).

Sick Leave: 1 week paid sick leave after 1 year of employment.

The Manager will be responsible for all aspects regarding the overall running of the Nursery. This role is super-numerary and as such the Manager is not counted in ratios. The Manager is supported by a super-numerary Deputy and Area Director.

Roles & Responsibilities Overall:

  • Ensure excellent standards across all areas of the setting are maintained and developed to provide the best outcomes for our children and families.
  • Ensure and enable excellent delivery of all aspects of the EYFS curriculum in a creative and inspiring way.
  • Ensure the Nursery ethos of helping every child “learn well” is embedded and executed consistently throughout the Nursery and understood by all staff.
  • Strong people leadership and role modelling to create a fantastic culture and working environment for the team.
  • Core focus on building occupancy – as a new setting this is critical.
  • Strong partnership with parents and external agencies to support every child's learning, development and well-being.
  • Ensure all policies and procedures embedded in the setting; with safeguarding being paramount.
  • Oversee all aspects of Safeguarding.
