Early Years Practitioner (Room Support Role)

Monday – Thursday

£14.80 per hour

Close at 2pm on Fridays

Approx 45 days holiday per year (pro rata)

New opportunity just in for a Level 3 Early Years Practitioner (Room Support Role) to join a wonderful Nursery rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted, set in beautiful and secure grounds near Wandsworth Common.

This Not for Profit, 42 place Nursery provides high-quality education, care, and a safe learning environment for early years children within a unique Jewish intergenerational care home setting.

The nursery is based within lovely grounds in a care home, where children take part in intergenerational activities every day with the residents, creating meaningful shared experiences and a truly special early years environment.

This is a temporary 6-month position, working across rooms to support the team where needed, Monday to Thursday.

Experience of working in a Jewish or intergenerational setting is not required, but a willingness to learn and embrace this ethos is essential.

Essential Qualifications & Skills

  • Level 3 Early Years qualification (full and relevant)
  • Experience working with children aged 0–5
  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS
  • Flexible and adaptable approach (able to work across rooms)
  • Positive team player with good communication skills

Job Summary

To support the development and wellbeing of children across the nursery, following the EYFS framework and working within the principles and ethos of the nursery.

To provide high-quality education and care in a warm, stimulating and secure environment, while embracing the nursery’s Jewish ethos and intergenerational approach.

To work as a reliable and adaptable member of the team, supporting colleagues, building positive relationships with parents, and enhancing children's daily experiences — including daily intergenerational activities with residents.
