Nursery Deputy Manager
Location: Enfield
Salary: £32 to £35
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week
About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced and dedicated Deputy Nursery Manager to support the day‑to‑day running of our welcoming and high‑quality early years setting. Working closely with the Nursery Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring outstanding care, education, safeguarding, and staff development.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the Nursery Manager in the overall leadership and management of the setting
- Lead by example to deliver high standards of care, learning and safeguarding
- Supervise, mentor and support nursery staff, including room leaders
- Ensure compliance with EYFS, Ofsted standards and safeguarding policies
- Build strong, positive relationships with children, parents and carers
- Assist with staff rota management, recruitment and training
- Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) or support in this area
- Step up in the Manager’s absence
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years (Level 5 preferred)
- Proven experience in a senior role within an early years setting
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and safeguarding requirements
- Excellent leadership, organisational and communication skills
- Passionate about delivering exceptional childcare and early education
- A positive, approachable and proactive attitude
