We are recruiting in NG2 / NG7 / NG19 for Early Years Practitioner, Room Leaders and Deputy Manager roles.

Location: Nottingham

Purpose of the Role: To lead a nursery room (baby, toddler, or preschool), ensuring high-quality care, learning, and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Childcare & Development:
    • Plan and deliver engaging activities based on EYFS
    • Monitor, assess, and record children’s development
    • Support children’s emotional, social, and physical needs
  • Room Leadership:
    • Lead and supervise a team of nursery practitioners
    • Delegate tasks and support staff development
    • Maintain staff ratios and daily organisation
  • Safeguarding & Welfare:
    • Ensure children’s safety and wellbeing at all times
    • Follow safeguarding policies and procedures
    • Report concerns in line with legal requirements
  • Administration:
    • Maintain accurate records (learning journeys, observations)
    • Ensure compliance with Ofsted standards
    • Manage daily room routines and planning
  • Parent Partnerships:
    • Build strong relationships with parents/carers
    • Provide feedback on children’s progress
    • Support settling-in processes

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Essential:
    • Level 3 qualification in Early Years/Childcare
    • Experience working in a nursery setting
    • Strong knowledge of EYFS
    • Experience supporting or leading a team
  • Desirable:
    • Paediatric First Aid
    • Safeguarding training
    • Previous Room Leader or Senior Practitioner experience
