The Role
As Nursery Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership and day-to-day management of the nursery. This includes ensuring high-quality care and education, compliance with EYFS and Ofsted standards, and the successful integration of the Montessori philosophy throughout the setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and inspire a team of early years educators and Montessori practitioners
- Ensure the nursery consistently meets or exceeds regulatory and safeguarding standards
- Promote and implement the Montessori philosophy in daily practice
- Build strong relationships with children, parents, and staff
- Manage budgets, staffing, and resources efficiently
- Maintain accurate records and support with Ofsted inspections
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development
About You
- Minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification (Montessori Diploma highly desirable)
- Proven leadership experience in an early years or Montessori setting
- Sound knowledge of EYFS framework and safeguarding requirements
- Strong interpersonal and organisational skills
- Passionate about child-centred, Montessori learning
- Confident, professional, and nurturing approach to management
