A leading optoelectronics products manufacturing client is seeking a Senior Optical Engineer.

Role:

  • Design and development of optoelectronic devices and systems: design, execution and analysis of development work
  • Define and lead the direction of work packages
  • Documentation of design and control of design records
  • Liaising with customers and supply chain
  • Production of engineering paperwork to build up design records within the company’s quality system
  • Responsible to ensure documentation is correct and kept up to date
  • Ensure Health and Safety standards and procedures are followed at all times
  • Ensure adherence to Company Policies and Procedures

Experience and skills required:

  • Degree in technical subject (Masters or PhD preferred)
  • 3-5 years in relevant development role
  • Experience working with optomechanical components/systems
  • Experience managing and solving complex R&D problems
  • Enthusiastic problem solver using evidence-based approaches to find suitable technical solutions
  • Ability to work as part of a team or autonomously as the job requires
