Key responsibilities:
- Perform venepuncture and capillary punctures to obtain blood samples from patients of all ages, including infants and the elderly, ensuring minimal discomfort and maximum efficiency.

Person Specification:
Qualifications & experience:
- Completion of a recognised phlebotomy training programme or equivalent certification.
- Basic life support (BLS) certification is preferred.
- A minimum of one year of experience as a phlebotomist in a healthcare setting, preferably within the NHS or a similar environment.
Additional & experience:
- Specialist training or experience in paediatric phlebotomy or working with patients with special needs.
- Experience in high-volume clinical settings, such as hospitals or large GP practices, handling diverse patient populations.
Skills and competencies:
- Basic IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic health record systems (e.g., EMIS or SystmOne).
- Exceptional manual dexterity and precision in performing blood collection procedures.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
