Are you passionate about supporting children with additional needs and helping them reach their full potential? This is an excellent opportunity to start your career in education while gaining a nationally recognised qualification all while working full time in a supportive school environment. We are working in partnership with Phoenix Place to recruit a Level 3 or 5 Teaching Assistant Apprentice with a focus on Special Educational Needs (SEN).

Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils with SEN in the classroom and small groups.
  • Help teachers deliver inclusive lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
  • Encourage independence, confidence, and positive behaviour.
  • Assist with implementing individual education plans (IEPs).
  • Promote inclusion and a supportive learning environment.
  • Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals.

Apprenticeship Details:

  • Hours: 37.5 hrs per week (8.30am–4.00pm) / Term time only – 39 Weeks
  • Duration: Approximately 18 months with EPA
  • Salary: £7.55 per hour for the first 12 months (apprentice wage) and National Minimum Wage thereafter
  • Training Delivered By: Best Practice Network — no college attendance required; all learning completed online
