We are currently looking for a dedicated and motivated Skills Assessor – Early Years to join our growing team.
About the role:
As a Skills Assessor, you will support learners throughout their apprenticeship journey by carrying out workplace observations, reviewing progress, and helping apprentices develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to succeed in the early years sector. Working closely with employers and learners, you’ll deliver high-quality assessment and support both face-to-face and remotely, ensuring learners remain on track to achieve their qualification.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage and support a caseload of learners in line with KPI expectations
- Carry out planned face-to-face observation visits within employer settings
- Review learner progress and performance in line with operational and quality requirements
- Support and motivate learners to achieve agreed targets and deadlines
- Deliver and support the assessment process
- Monitor Health & Safety, Safeguarding, Equality, Diversity & Inclusion within employer settings
- Provide effective Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) to learners and employers
- Maintain accurate learner records and update systems in line with company standards
- Attend centre meetings, quality checks, training and peer support sessions as required
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to maximise learner achievement and progression
- Promote learner progression opportunities and represent Eden Training Solutions positively at all times
About you:
We’re looking for someone passionate about early years education and learner development, with strong communication, organisational and relationship-building skills.
Essential Qualifications:
- Level 3 qualification in Early Years/Childcare or above
Desirable Qualifications:
- Teaching or training qualification (PTLLS, CTLLS, DTLLS, Cert Ed etc.)
- Degree in Early Childhood Studies
- Level 3 Paediatric First Aid Certificate
Skills & Experience:
- Experience carrying out workplace observations within apprenticeship standards
- Strong organisational and workload management skills
- Good ICT and digital skills
- Ability to motivate and engage learners both face-to-face and remotely
- Experience of Ofsted inspections desirable
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Commitment to equality, diversity, safeguarding and learner wellbeing
