The predicted salary is between 28800 - 43200 £ per year.
We are looking for people with a teaching background in Early Years and Primary with expertise in SEND and who have significant knowledge and skills to support student teachers, working towards Qualified Teacher Status.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Supporting student teachers both Fee-funded/Apprenticeship in SEND schools and whilst on a 6 week mainstream placement

Complete online mid reviews with student teachers to check on wellbeing, compliance, attendance and engagement.

Provide mental health and wellbeing support to student teachers.

Complete joint observations in workplace and placement settings, liaising with in-school mentors.

Engage in tripartite meetings with the mentor and student teacher following feedback from the joint observation. Targets and student progress is reviewed.

Review student teacher targets and progress. Feedback on student teacher progress and mentor engagement to BPN Lead mentors.

Support in-school mentors with writing, actioning and monitoring individual support plans tailored to student needs, where required.

Monitor, assess, mark and feedback to student teachers using an online system.

Support the delivery of training using approved training resources to cover module themes.

Support the delivery of Intensive Training and Practice using approved training resources.

Ensure that student teachers are compliant with their chosen pathway including their 6 week mainstream placement.

Support student teachers through to the end of their programme including apprentices End Point Assessment (Term 4).

Hold Qualified Teacher Status.

Personal Tutors will have significant experience in Primary/SEND schools and across the 3-11 age range or curriculum stage.

Experience of assessing the quality of teaching and providing developmental feedback to practitioners.

Experience of online learning environments and provision of adult learning in educational settings such as Canvas is highly desirable.

Able to develop strong professional working relationships with employers, mentors, tutors and student teachers.

Can motivate learners and ensure they complete deadlines on time.

Hold a full driving licence, have own vehicle and be willing to travel to different school settings up to 2 hours from own home.

Have high levels of motivation and the ability to use own initiative.

Coaching experience is also a desirable feature.
