Summary
We are seeking a caring, patient and dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a child with additional needs. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher and SENCo to ensure the child can access the curriculum, communicate effectively, and feel safe, supported and included within the school environment.
Working Pattern:
- Monday - Friday 8.45am - 15.20pm (Days to be confirmed).
- 30 minutes lunch break
- 31.75 hours a week
- Term Time Only working in the school.
What you’ll do at work:
- Support individuals and small groups in the classroom
- Help plan learning activities and provide teaching resources
- Promote pupil independence and engagement
- Monitor pupil progress and behaviour
- Provide pastoral care, including welfare and wellbeing support
- Assist with classroom organisation and resource preparation
- Support extracurricular activities and lunchtime supervision
- Attend school meetings and contribute to reports
Requirements:
- Willingness to undergo DBS and safeguarding checks
- You must be fully available for the working hours listed
