We are looking for a passionate and driven early years professional to join our team as a Deputy Manager (Level 5 Apprentice). This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Third in Charge who is ready to take the next step and progress into a deputy leadership role while completing the Level 5 Early Years Lead Practitioner apprenticeship.
About the Role
As our Deputy Manager Apprentice, you will support the Nursery Manager in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the setting. You will play a key role in maintaining high standards of care, leading staff, supporting children's development, and contributing to the strategic direction of the nursery.
Requirements
- Must already hold a Level 3 Early Years qualification
- Experience as a Third in Charge or similar senior role within a nursery
- Strong understanding of the EYFS framework
- Confident supporting staff performance and daily operations
- Genuine ambition to progress into a Deputy Manager position
- Willing to complete the Level 5 Lead Practitioner apprenticeship
- Full-time availability
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Manager with planning, compliance, and maintaining high-quality practice across the setting
- Lead, motivate and mentor staff to deliver outstanding childcare
- Support with safeguarding, health and safety, and Ofsted requirements
- Develop strong relationships with children, families, and the wider team
- Ensure all policies and procedures are followed consistently
