We have a fantastic opportunity for an aspiring apprentice to join our team. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who are ambitious and want to gain an early year's qualification while getting experience. You'll create meaningful relationships with the children, your team and with parents.

What you'll do at work:

  • Provide high-quality care and early years education to children aged 0-5.
  • Support children's development through age-appropriate activities and play-based learning.
  • Observe, assess, and document children's progress in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Work closely with the team to plan and implement a curriculum that meets the needs of individual children.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ensure that children are safe, and their well-being is always a priority.
  • Promote and encourage positive behaviour, social skills, and emotional development.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and safe environment, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
  • Support with daily routines, including mealtimes, nappy changes, and nap times.
  • Participate in regular team meetings, training, and professional development opportunities.

Working Week: Monday to Friday, 7:30am - 6:30pm, 4 days per week.

Dorset Hall Nursery Parkside was opened in October 2019. We are located in a large, red brick Grade II listed building containing many original and interesting features, very close to the entrance of Downhills Park. Set well back from the main road behind a pedestrianised area, the nursery occupies the entire building and has enclosed garden play areas. The nursery was thoroughly refurbished and equipped to a high standard prior to opening. We are open 50 weeks of the year, 7.30am to 6.30pm for children aged between 6 months and 5 years. The nursery has availability for 15 & 30 hours early years education entitlement placement. Parkside is in an ideal location, within easy walking distance to several TFL Underground and Overground stations as well as bus routes, schools, Downhills Park and libraries.
