SummaryWe have a fantastic opportunity for an aspiring apprentice to join our team. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who are ambitious and want to gain Early Years Practitioner qualification while getting experience. You’ll create meaningful relationships with the children, your team and with parents. Annual wage£6,656 to £11,897.60 a yearThe pay may be negotiated and may rise after a probation period has been successfully completed. HoursMonday to Friday. Shifts to be confirmed. 20-23 hours per week. Throughout the week, your primary responsibilities will include: Youll lead and support a team of playworkers in delivering a high-quality, safe, and engaging wraparound care experience. Your week includes overseeing breakfast and afterschool clubs, ensuring each session runs smoothly and meets childrens developmental needs. Each morning and afternoon, youll assist with the walking bus service to safely take children between school and the club. Youll also handle planning and preparation, organizing creative activities, and working with the Manager to evaluate and enhance the program. Your leadership helps maintain a positive environment, encouraging initiative and professional growth among the team. Key Responsibilities Throughout the week, your core responsibilities will include: Supervising and supporting the playworker team to deliver engaging activities. Monitoring health and safety standards, and managing any incidents. Building positive relationships with children, parents, and the team to foster a community atmosphere. Handling administrative duties, coordinating with schools, and reporting to the Manager on program effectiveness. This role is ideal for an organized, proactive childcare professional who is committed to childrens safety, development, and well-being. Your training planThe programme offers a blended approach including virtual classrooms, webinars, work-based tasks and online assignments. We use an online platform (BUD) that helps you learn the topics and skills, reflect on your practice and build your portfolio. Candidates are not required to attend college, instead, this will include off the job training hours (OTJH) used throughout this apprenticeship. These OTJH will be within working hours of Employment- e.g., 30+ hours per week = 6 hours per week OTJH, less than 30 hours is 20% OTJH. You will also receive one-to-one support and tuition from your apprenticeship tutor, this tutor will make in person visits to you at the nursery, or schedule online meetings every 5-6 weeks.
