About The Role
HAYS is currently partnering with a rapidly expanding manufacturing company based in Lincolnshire to recruit a Senior Financial Analyst. This is a newly created, pivotal position designed to enhance the company\’s financial reporting and strategic decision‑making capabilities. As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting the organisation’s growth by providing timely, accurate, and insightful financial data. You will be responsible for leading budgeting cycles, developing scenario models, and delivering comprehensive reports that inform key business decisions. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, you will collaborate closely with various stakeholders across the business to establish and improve processes for meaningful data analysis. Qualifications
The ideal candidate will be a part‑qualified or fully qualified accountant with a strong background in financial analysis and modelling. Extensive experience in commercial finance, data analysis, and financial systems is essential. Proficiency in Excel, along with familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and Power BI, is required to succeed in this role. Candidates should possess excellent analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to interpret complex data sets into actionable insights. Candidates living within a reasonable commute of Lincoln are preferred, as the role is predominantly office‑based with 3‑4 days per week in the office. A proactive attitude, strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments are also important attributes for this position.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy and alignment with strategic objectives.
- Develop and maintain financial models and scenario analyses to support business planning and decision‑making.
- Prepare and present detailed financial reports and insights to senior leadership, including the Senior Leadership Team (SLT).
- Utilise Microsoft Dynamics BC and Power BI to generate meaningful dashboards and reports that enhance data visibility across the organisation.
- Conduct variance analysis, re‑forecasting, and financial performance reviews to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to establish new processes for data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Support ad hoc financial projects and strategic initiatives as required by the business.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of industry trends, financial regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
