About The Role

We are recruiting for a User Experience (UX) Designer to join the Digital Team on a 23‑month Fixed Term Contract. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the enhancement of our digital services by designing user‑centered experiences that are accessible, efficient, and engaging. As a UX Designer, you will discover user needs through research, analyse insights, and share findings with colleagues. You will design innovative user interfaces and experiences for both testing and live deployment, employing a variety of techniques from sketching on paper to coding prototypes. Your work will involve creating digital assets that are ready for development, ensuring seamless collaboration with developers, designers, and researchers.

You will be an integral part of our multi‑disciplinary Digital Team, which operates on user‑led design principles. The team values collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning, providing opportunities for professional development through training and community engagement. Your role will contribute to shaping digital solutions that reflect our values and meet the diverse needs of our users and stakeholders.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in user experience design, with proven experience working within complex organizations. You should possess excellent prototyping skills, capable of translating ideas into tangible designs at various levels of fidelity. A solid working knowledge of HTML and CSS is essential, enabling you to translate designs into accessible and responsive prototypes. Experience with design tools such as Figma is required, and familiarity with WCAG standards to ensure accessibility compliance is highly desirable. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to work effectively in an agile, fast‑paced environment, adapting to changing priorities and collaborating with diverse teams. Responsibilities
