We are seeking a commercially minded Data Analyst to join our clientβs high-precision manufacturing facility based in Glasgow. This pivotal role involves supporting engineering and manufacturing operations by transforming complex MRP/ERP data into insightful reports and dashboards that facilitate informed decision-making. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams including Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, and Operations to enhance performance visibility and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Data Analyst or Business Intelligence professional within manufacturing or engineering sectors.
- Strong understanding of MRP/ERP systems, including BOMs, inventory management, and production orders.
- Advanced proficiency in Power BI, including data modelling and dashboard development.
- Excellent SQL skills for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to present complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
- Preferred qualifications include experience in discrete manufacturing, supply chain management, production planning, and familiarity with continuous improvement or lean methodologies.
Responsibilities
- Analyze MRP/ERP data related to materials, production, inventory, demand, capacity, and lead times to identify patterns and insights.
- Identify trends, potential risks, and opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvements.
- Develop clear and actionable reports and dashboards to communicate findings effectively to stakeholders at all levels.
- Support root cause analysis for stock discrepancies, planning bottlenecks, and production issues to facilitate swift resolution.
- Build and maintain Power BI dashboards aligned with key business KPIs to provide real-time performance visibility.
- Create automated and self-service reporting solutions to empower teams with up-to-date data access.
- Ensure data integrity by maintaining accuracy, consistency, and adherence to data governance standards.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand operational challenges and tailor reporting solutions to meet their needs.
