Best In Class is seeking an inspiring Head of Science to lead and develop a dynamic department in a thriving school. This is a supply role starting January 2024, running until Easter, with the potential to extend or even go permanent with the school. The Role: As the Head of Science, you will: * Lead and Manage the Science Department: Oversee curriculum planning, teaching quality, and departmental development to ensure outstanding outcomes. * Inspire and Support Staff: Provide leadership and mentorship to a dedicated team of Science teachers, fostering collaboration and professional growth. * Deliver Excellence in Teaching: Model high-quality teaching across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5 (KS5 experience is highly desirable). * Drive Student Achievement: Champion innovative approaches to engage students and raise attainment in Science. * Contribute to Whole-School Leadership: Work closely with senior leadership to align the Science department’s goals with the school’s vision.
