Best Electrical & Renewables Ltd is an established electrical contractor delivering high-quality electrical services across the South East of England. Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join our expanding team. This role is ideal for an electrician who enjoys fault finding, planned preventative maintenance and building long-term relationships with commercial customers.

The Role

  • You will be responsible for maintaining a wide variety of commercial and retail electrical installations, ensuring our clients' premises remain safe, compliant and fully operational.
  • Typical work includes:
    • Electrical fault finding and repairs
    • Planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
    • Reactive maintenance
    • Emergency lighting maintenance and repairs
    • EICR's
    • Small remedial works
    • Testing of electrical appliances
    • Identifying defects and recommending repairs
    • Completing electronic certification and reports
    • Providing excellent customer service on site

Most work is carried out within schools, offices, commercial premises, retail units and public sector buildings.

Essential Requirements

  • NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation or equivalent
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671)
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Strong fault-finding ability
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • High standard of workmanship
  • Professional appearance and attitude

  • 2391 Inspection & Testing
  • ECS Gold Card
  • Experience working within commercial buildings
  • Experience completing NICEIC certification
