Role Description
The MOT Test role is a full‑time, on‑site position based at SGG in Dunsfold Park, Dunsfold.
The role involves carrying out MOT tests in line with DVSA regulations, performing test execution accurately, and recording test results clearly and efficiently.
Responsibilities include inspecting vehicles for roadworthiness, identifying defects, advising on necessary repairs, and working closely with the service team to maintain high standards of quality assurance.
The MOT Tester will also help maintain testing equipment, follow health and safety procedures, and contribute to delivering a professional and trustworthy service to customers.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Testing and Test Execution, with the ability to perform MOT inspections accurately and consistently.
- Experience with Test Management and Test Strategy to plan, manage, and improve MOT testing processes.
- Knowledge of Quality Assurance practices to ensure compliance with DVSA standards and internal procedures.
- Valid MOT Tester qualification and current DVSA authorization.
- Relevant automotive or vehicle technician qualification (e. g., NVQ or equivalent) is preferred.
- Good diagnostic and problem‑solving skills, with attention to detail and a focus on safety.
- Ability to work effectively within a workshop team and communicate clearly with colleagues and customers.
- Reliable, professional work ethic and willingness to follow all regulatory and health and safety requirements.
