This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring Building Services Technician to join our Newcastle office to learn what it takes to carry out the design of building services on some of the most exciting built environment projects in the UK and worldwide.

The Building Services team are a source of world-leading expertise and offers a proactive and collaborative approach to skill development and professional excellence.
The Role:
Joining the Building Information Modelling (BIM) Team, you will:
- Learn how to coordinate the use of BIM throughout the design stages.
- Work closely with colleagues across our multi-disciplinary practice, ensuring that BIM models are accurate, consistent, and up to date.
- Under the guidance of our team of experienced technicians, we’ll equip you with an understanding of BIM processes and standards so that you can support training project team members on BIM software and workflows and facilitate communication and collaboration between different disciplines.
- Learn how to develop BIM Models effectively for other required documentation, such as COBie data or classification systems.
As you develop your technical engineering skills with us on real-life projects, you will work four days of the week with one day of release to study for the appropriate academic qualifications at Gateshead College.
The Skills:
To qualify for the apprenticeship standard:
- A Level EEE – Must include Mathematics and preferably a Science in either Chemistry or Physics (UCAS points: 48)
- T-level (Pass or above) in Construction: Design, Surveying and Planning (UCAS points: 72)
- BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma MPP in an Engineering subject area or Construction and Built Environment area (Must include Mathematics and Further Mathematics) (UCAS points: 64)
- BTEC Level 3 National Diploma MM in an Engineering subject area, with a minimum of merit in Mathematics and Further Mathematics (UCAS points: 64)
- Building Services Engineering Technician level 3 apprenticeship MP (UCAS points: 48) alongside grade Pass or Distinction at EPA
- Applicants must hold 5 GCSEs A-C, including maths and English or equivalent (reformed GCSEs grade 4 or above)
