Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands‑on experience.

As a Civil Engineering Advanced Apprentice in our communities team in Exeter, you will be supporting your team on local and national projects by carrying out site inspections and preparing engineering design documents, including drawings using AutoCAD. You will be trained in the use of software engineering tools, and you will be supported by your Line Manager and Mentor.

Your tasks could include:

  • Work with project leads processing information for existing plans, producing data sheets, data collection and analysis
  • Helping to establish structural requirements to meet the project needs
  • Supporting with reports and information for our clients
