The predicted salary is between 800 - 1400 £ per month.

This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring Electrical Engineer to join our London team and learn what it takes to carry out the design of electrical services on some of the most exciting projects in the UK and worldwide.

You will assist with detailed electrical building services engineering design and analysis and help define and translate client requirements into workable designs for buildings, facilities and services (electrical distribution and power generation, security and access control) all with sustainability at the forefront of the design.

You will be provided training by our expert engineers on how to perform cable sizing and protective device settings selection and shown how to use calculation software such as Amtech, SKM or Etap. As you develop your technical engineering skills with us on real-life projects, you will also be granted day-release to study for the appropriate academic qualifications at London South Bank University.

The Skills

  • A Level BBC – Must include Mathematics and preferably a Science in either Chemistry or Physics (UCAS points: 112)
  • T-level (Merit or above) in Construction: Design, Surveying and Planning. (UCAS points: 120)
  • BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma DDM in an Engineering subject area, with a minimum of merit in Mathematics and Further Mathematics. (UCAS points: 128)
  • BTEC Level 3 National Diploma D*D* in an Engineering subject area, with a minimum of merit in Mathematics and Further Mathematics. (UCAS points: 112)
  • Building Services Engineering Technician Level 3 apprenticeship DD (UCAS points: 96) alongside grade Pass or Distinction at EPA.
  • 5 GCSEs A-C including maths and English or equivalent (reformed GCSEs grade 4 or above)

During your studies/work experience you have developed a keen interest in engineering or construction. A keen interest in learning new skills and are willing to work hard to reach your goals. Possess the personal qualities and organisation skills to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, are a confident communicator, looking for a career in creative, sustainable, and intuitive design.
