You will join a team that drives growth by identifying opportunities and building strong relationships that support the organization’s strategic objectives. As a Level 6 Business Development Apprentice, you will combine learning with real‑world impact, helping to shape innovative solutions that meet client needs. Your mission is to contribute fresh ideas, analyze market trends, and support initiatives that expand our reach and deliver value. Through collaboration and curiosity, you will play a key role in turning opportunities into sustainable success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Actively promote applicable Schneider Electric Digital Energy offers with selected customer base, gaining orders, specification and standardisation throughout the supply chain.
  • Working with internal colleagues in all Sales, Marketing, Technical and Techno‑commercial teams to ensure effective cross‑entity, regional, national and international collaboration.
  • Provide all relevant accurate information and reporting in a timely manner as required by line manager and feedback to marketing.
  • Actively monitor the actions of competitors and provide relevant intel to EcoXpert partners that can support their growth.
  • Manage and keep record of competencies and ensure regular check‑ins are conducted to ensure any skill gaps are actioned.
  • Work with Digital Buildings line of business to ensure top VIP accounts are serviced and prioritised accordingly.
  • Ensure customer and community is kept up to date with Schneider product releases and new innovations.

Training

During your apprenticeship, you will receive two different types of training. ‘On‑the‑job’ training will be delivered by Schneider Electric, as your employer. You’ll receive training and supervision to help you perform the job you’ve been hired to do. This will include skills and knowledge that fall outside of the apprenticeship but are needed for the job role. As well as providing ‘on‑the‑job’ training, it is important that we support you in additional ways to ensure your success.

‘Off‑the‑job’ training is delivered by one of our carefully selected Training Providers during your normal working hours. You will spend at least 20% (average 6 hours per week) of your working hours completing ‘off‑the‑job’ training. This is protected time and is a requirement for apprenticeship delivery. This training will teach you the knowledge, skills, and behaviours set out in the apprenticeship standard so you can achieve occupational competence.

Work Pattern

37.5 hours per week to be worked from Monday to Friday. Exact start and finish times are to be agreed upon with Line Manager. Some of these hours will be allocated to off‑the‑job training as part of your Apprenticeship Programme.

  • Basic IT skills and a willingness to learn and embrace new skills in a fast‑paced environment.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment with the flexibility to adapt to changing requirements and priorities.

  • Confident in building and maintaining professional relationships.
  • Comfortable with change and able to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.

Education

5 GCSEs including Maths, English and a STEM Subject grade C/4 or above or equivalent. 2 A Levels or equivalent at grade C or above.

Previous Experience Required

No pre‑requisite experience required.
