The predicted salary is between 800 - 1400 £ per month.
This is a great opportunity to work on state-of-the-art defence equipment and develop systems for the MoD and a wide range of export customers around the world. This position will challenge your skills, and you will have the flexibility to mould the role to suit your strengths and career development interests.
Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands‑on experience.
What you’ll do at work:
- CAD design and development including:
- Packaging of electronics and associated cabling
- Designing for military platform installation
- Producing key point manufacturing drawings in support of machine from model
- Producing detailed manufacturing and assembly drawings
- Understanding and designing for the effects of stress, shock and vibration
- Environmental testing and product qualification
- Design for manufacture for mechanical designs
- Building prototypes for test and development
