This is an exciting opportunity for a creative and organised individual, with an interest in promoting great books, to get their first taste of the Publishing Industry. As you assist the team across a broad range of titles and publishing lists, you’ll help us work on creative and innovative ways of connecting with readers, media and influencers.

Responsibilities:

  • General admin tasks including compiling spreadsheets and maintaining databases, booking taxis and couriers, printing, photocopying etc.
  • Completing review mailings for press and social media influencers and distributing marketing materials.
  • Assisting the publicity manager with specific campaigns, which could include pitching to the media, bookshops and festivals, as well as helping organise author tours.
  • Creating press releases.
  • Monitoring the publicity inbox.
  • Creating and coordinating engaging social media posts.
  • Research tasks including media and social media contact lists.
  • Designing show cards and flyers.
  • Assisting with bookselling or organisation of book launches.
  • Creating Reading Group guides.
  • Attending weekly meetings and taking minutes.
  • Collating and circulating press coverage.
  • Assisting with social media campaigns.
  • Managing asset requests for retailer sites.
  • Working with designers on asset briefs.
  • Responsibility for setting up and monitoring AMS (Amazon Marketing Services).
