Overview

We specialise in providing strategic accounting, tax and business solutions for ambitious owner-managed businesses. The BH Way blends big firm thinking and technical experience with a small firm ethos. We are looking for an ambitious University graduate or school leaver to join our audit and accounts team as a trainee, working towards ACA qualification and Level 7 Apprenticeship.

You will have the opportunity to work closely with clients, being part of a team that helps them realise their business and personal ambitions.

Responsibilities

  • Working with senior members of the team to prepare accounts for statutory, management and ad hoc requirements
  • Working as part of an Audit Team, completing detailed testing and analytical review work, reporting to the Audit Senior or Manager
  • Work as part of a team to meet all deadlines and ensure that client expectations are exceeded
  • Undertake bookkeeping and preparation of VAT returns

Essential Skills And Experience

  • Strong team mentality but with the ability to work independently (with training)
  • Strong A Level grades, ideally studying Accounting but not essential
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to think outside the box and propose solutions
  • Confident and adaptable communication skills (written, verbal and in person)
  • Be proactive and determined
