We are looking for an AI Automation Engineer to analyze business workflows, identify automation opportunities, and build end-to-end automated systems using tools like n8n, AI models, and APIs. This role sits at the intersection of operations, engineering, and AI—ideal for someone who loves solving problems, designing efficient systems, and using technology to remove friction from workflows.
You will collaborate across departments to map processes, develop intelligent automations, and ensure systems run reliably at scale.
Key Responsibilities- Process Analysis & Design
- Map and document existing workflows across operational teams
- Identify inefficiencies and automation opportunities
- Translate business requirements into clear automation logic
- Automation Development
- Build, test, and deploy automations primarily using n8n
- Integrate APIs, databases, webhooks, CRMs, support tools, and internal systems
- Create modular, scalable automation architectures with logging, monitoring, and error handling
- Develop custom nodes or scripts when required (JavaScript/Python)
- AI & LLM Automation
- Integrate AI models (OpenAI, Claude, etc.) into workflows
- Build intelligent agents for data extraction, routing, classification, and decision workflows
- Implement prompt engineering, function-calling logic, and vector database usage when needed
- Data & System Integration
- Work with data sources such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Airtable, Notion, or spreadsheets
- Parse and transform data in JSON, SQL, or via custom parsing logic
- Ensure clean, consistent data flows between systems
- Maintenance & Continuous Improvement
- Monitor automations for performance and reliability
- Build alert systems, dashboards, or logs
- Continuously optimize workflows based on real-world usage
- Maintain documentation for all automations and processes
- 2–5+ years in automation engineering, technical operations, solutions engineering, or similar
- Strong hands-on experience with n8n (or Make/Zapier with willingness to convert)
- Proficiency working with REST APIs, OAuth, and webhooks
- Ability to design complex, multi-step workflows
- Experience integrating AI/LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.)
- Understanding of prompt engineering & function-based task design
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to collaborate with non-technical teams and convert needs into automated solutions
- Excellent documentation habits
- JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python scripting
- Creating custom n8n nodes or extending platform functionality
- Experience with CRMs, support systems, spreadsheets, or operations tooling
- Experience with databases and SQL
