We’re looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to manage the financial operations of our eCommerce business. This role is critical for maintaining accurate books, generating timely profit and loss statements, and providing actionable financial insights to inform strategic decisions. You’ll own the financial reporting process from daily cash flow tracking to monthly management reports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain accurate, up-to-date bookkeeping in Xero / QuickBooks
- Track daily and weekly sales, expenses, and profitability
- Produce weekly and monthly P&L statements and financial summaries
- Reconcile bank accounts, payment processors (e.g. Stripe, PayPal), and ad spend (e.g. Meta, Google)
- Manage accounts payable and receivable
- Collaborate with operations and marketing teams to track variable costs and margins
- Support forecasting and budgeting efforts based on historical performance
- Liaise with accountants for tax filing, VAT/GST, and end-of-year reporting
- Flag irregularities, overspend, or cash flow issues proactively
- Continuously improve reporting tools, spreadsheets, and dashboards
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in bookkeeping, finance, or accounting (Preferred for eCommerce or DTC brands)
- Strong grasp of financial systems and tools (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks, A2X, Google Sheets, Excel)
- Understanding of eCommerce platforms (Shopify, WooCommerce, Amazon, etc.)
- Knowledge of cash flow management, COGS tracking, and ad attribution
- High attention to detail, with strong analytical and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and deliver reports on tight schedules
