An award-winning AJ100 studio in South London is seeking a talented Senior Architect to lead the delivery of high-profile commercial and mixed-use projects. The Role
You\’ll take ownership of complex commercial schemes β from design development through to delivery β with a particular focus in the commercial sector. Backed by an experienced leadership team, youβll help shape the studioβs design direction, mentor junior architects, and ensure project excellence across all stages.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership β Drive delivery of retrofit and commercial workplace schemes through RIBA Stage 4 and beyond.
Client & Consultant Coordination β Lead communication with clients, consultants, and wider teams.
Design & Technical Oversight β Ensure design intent is upheld through to completion, with a strong grasp of UK Building Regulations and CDM.
Team Mentorship β Guide and support junior team members, fostering an open and collaborative working environment.
Practice Engagement β Contribute to internal design reviews, CPDs, and wider studio initiatives.
About You
Experienced across all RIBA stages, with a focus on delivery (Stage 4).
Confident running medium to large-scale UK projects independently.
Skilled technical knowledge and detailing experience.
Excellent communicator with clients and teams alike.
Passionate about sustainable design, adaptive reuse, and the built heritage of London.
Commercial workplace and retrofit experience highly desirable.
