A globally respected design and architecture practice is looking for aHead of Communicationsto lead its international communications strategy. With studios in London and Asia, this is a high-impact role where you\’ll drive brand reputation, internal engagement, and external visibility across key markets.
This is an exciting opportunity to steer a brand refresh and build a cohesive, forward-thinking communications strategy aligned with the organisation’s values, voice, and commercial ambitions. You’ll work closely with the COO and senior leadership to shape narratives that connect with clients, employees, media, and the wider industry.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership:Own and deliver an integrated global communications strategy—covering internal, external, and executive communications.
Media & PR:Manage a leading PR agency and cultivate strong relationships with global media; drive high-impact, multi-channel campaigns and press activity.
Brand Voice:Develop messaging frameworks, positioning materials, and thought leadership aligned with the business’s brand and purpose.
Internal Comms:Build strong engagement across international teams through consistent and transparent internal communication tools and processes.
Public Affairs:Lead public affairs strategy and engagement with industry bodies, government, and regulators.
Collaboration:Partner with business development, bidding, and leadership teams to align communications with commercial objectives.
Reporting & Budgeting:Provide insight-driven reports to leadership and manage the annual communications and marketing budget.
Skills and Experience
10+ years’ experience in communications, ideally within design, architecture or creative industries.
Demonstrable success in both internal and external communications at a strategic and hands-on level.
Experience leading geographically dispersed teams and managing agencies.
Exceptional writing and editorial skills with an eye for detail and audience nuance.
Deep understanding of media relations, brand messaging, and campaign delivery.
Commercially minded, highly organised, and able to balance competing priorities.
Confident working closely with senior stakeholders and advising at board level.
Global awareness, particularly around cultural and market nuances in Asia, the Middle East, and India.
