Our client is a leading architecture practice based in CentralLondon with a rich history of delivering innovative and sustainable design solutions. Theyspecialize in several sectors including aviation, education, rail, hospitality, healthcare, leisure and retail.
They are seeking a passionate and talented BIM Technician to support architectural project teams in the use of BIM tools and workflows, especially Autodesk Revit.
The candidate will provide technical support directly to project team members and liaise with the BIM Coordinators and Technicians, and ultimately to the Technical Director (BIM), providing feedback on the team\’s requirements for training, workflows, or content.
Key Responsibilities
- Setup of a project model (in-house).
- Manage the setup of the other project models (supply chain).
- Production of 3D model elements.
- Production of model outputs.
- Assist in the preparation of COBie information.
- Production of COBie deliverable.
- Manage COBie information and deliverables process (in-house).
Skills and experience
- Working knowledge of ISO19650.
- Ability to work with, and understand the information needs of our clients.
- Assist in the production of a BIM Execution Plan (BEP).
- Assist to establish the project teams Responsibility Matrix (MPDT).
- Assist in population of a Task Information Delivery Plan (TIDP).
- Produce a BIM modelling standard.
- Knowledge and experience of administration of a CDE.
- Ensure compliance with project standards.
- Chair BIM project and team meetings.
- Project team support and training (in-house).
- Knowledge and experience in maintaining and delivering project BIM models.
- Experience in delivering projects to BIM standards with validation and QA processes is highly beneficial.
- Experience with medium to large scale complex projects within an architectural office is essential.
- Advanced understanding of volume strategies, clash avoidance strategies, issue management and MEP & Structural coordination management is highly beneficial.
