Portfolio Management & Strategy Lead London | Hybrid Working

I’m currently partnering with a leading global real estate consultancy to recruit a Regional Portfolio Management & Strategy Lead for a major financial services client account. This is a genuinely strategic role for someone who can combine big-picture thinking with hands-on delivery. You’ll be shaping regional portfolio strategy, influencing senior stakeholders, and helping a high-profile client futureproof its real estate portfolio in response to workplace evolution, AI, talent trends, and changing business needs.

You'll lead a small team of 3-4, this will be hands-on enough to get into the detail & senior enough to challenge the C-suite. The successful person will sit at the centre of the account, leading metro planning, portfolio optimisation, business case development, and strategic decision-making across a large corporate portfolio.

You’ll ideally bring:

  • Consultancy-led mindset
  • Experience managing large real estate portfolios
  • Strong commercial and strategic thinking
  • Confidence engaging senior stakeholders
  • Ability to challenge, influence, and lead
  • Experience within corporate real estate, workplace strategy, portfolio strategy, or related consulting environments
  • Ideally leadership or mentoring experience (formal or informal)

The team culture is collaborative, highly respected, and genuinely supportive, with strong long-term opportunities internally.

Excellent salary + car allowance + bonus + benefits

How to prepare for a job interview at Bespoke Talent Recruitment

Know Your Portfolio Inside Out

Before the interview, make sure you thoroughly understand the portfolio management strategies relevant to the role. Familiarise yourself with recent trends in real estate and how they impact portfolio optimisation. This will help you speak confidently about your experience and how it aligns with the company's needs.

Engage with Stakeholder Scenarios

Prepare for questions about engaging senior stakeholders. Think of specific examples where you've influenced decision-making or challenged the status quo. Practising these scenarios will show that you can navigate complex relationships and drive strategic initiatives effectively.

Showcase Your Leadership Style

Since this role involves leading a small team, be ready to discuss your leadership approach. Share experiences where you've mentored others or led projects, highlighting how you foster collaboration and support within your team. This will demonstrate your ability to lead and inspire.

Think Big Picture, But Get into the Details

Balance your strategic thinking with hands-on examples. Be prepared to discuss how you've developed business cases or executed metro planning while keeping the broader strategy in mind. This dual focus will resonate well with the interviewers looking for someone who can operate at both levels.
