Gotham Newcastle is located in the Old Fire Station which was originally built in 1931-1933 based on designs by Cackett, Burns Dick and Mackellar. Baroque Revival in style, a handsome steel framed building with rusticated Portland stone and brick cladding. The restaurant is a stylish destination in its own right, Gotham`s Newcastle restaurant mixes turn of the century elegance with a moody undertone. Invoking the building`s history, a palette of period inspired, quirky details ensure a welcoming space where guests can expect plush surroundings, accompanied by an enticing, contemporary menu, with ingredients sourced from the finest local producers.

We are on the lookout for a poised and polished Restaurant Supervisor to join our esteemed fine dining restaurant within our luxurious five-star hotel. In this role, you`ll be the charming and sophisticated right hand to the Restaurant Manager, ensuring that every dining experience is a masterpiece worthy of the silver screen. Your exceptional leadership, attention to detail, and passion for delivering first-class service will elevate the guest experience to legendary heights.

A Glimpse of the Scenes You`ll Be Starring In:

• Support the Front of House: Assist in overseeing the smooth operation of the fine dining restaurant, ensuring impeccable service and a sophisticated atmosphere for each guest.
• Private Dining Excellence: Assist in managing the private dining venues, ensuring that bespoke events and intimate gatherings are executed to perfection, reflecting the hotel`s high standards.
• Breakfast Service for the Elite: Support the breakfast service for hotel guests, ensuring that every detail is executed flawlessly and that guests` mornings start with an exceptional culinary experience.
• Team Leadership & Training: Work closely with the Restaurant Manager to train, guide, and motivate the service team, ensuring they deliver a consistently high standard of service and maintain the luxurious ethos of the brand.
• Guest-Centric Service: Build relationships with guests, ensuring their needs are anticipated and that their experiences are enhanced with personalized service. Handle guest feedback and concerns with tact, professionalism, and prompt action.
• Operational Support: Assist with daily restaurant operations, including managing reservations, table settings, staff schedules, and ensuring service flows smoothly during busy periods.
• Collaboration with the Culinary Team: Work alongside the Executive Chef and kitchen staff to ensure the execution of flawless service, from menu planning to meal presentation, ensuring a seamless dining experience for all guests.
• Financial Awareness: Assist in monitoring the restaurant`s budget, tracking inventory, and supporting cost control efforts while maintaining the luxury standards expected in a five-star environment.
• Event Assistance: Help plan and oversee the execution of special events, private dinners, and large bookings, ensuring every detail-from décor to service-is handled with precision and care.
• Maintain High Standards: Ensure all health, safety, and cleanliness standards are adhered to in accordance with five-star hotel regulations, creating a pristine and safe environment for both guests and staff.
