Sub Agent – Southern Region (Kent) Permanent | £50,000-£55,000 BCS connect are currently working with a large civil engineering client who are currently looking for an experienced Sub Agent to join their business on a Permanent Capacity, delivering key civil engineering projects across Kent. This is a great opportunity to step into a leadership role where you\’ll support project delivery, manage teams on the ground, and ensure quality, safety, and programme targets are met — all while building strong relationships with clients and communities. What You’ll Do * Support the Site Agent or Project Manager on day-to-day delivery * Oversee site teams, operatives, and subcontractors * Prepare method statements, risk assessments, and project plans * Manage design coordination and ensure smooth workflows * Track costs vs. budget and monitor programme performance * Lead subcontractor engagement and assessment * Ensure works are completed safely, on time, and to spec * Represent the business with professionalism and build strong client rapport What You’ll Bring * Strong experience in civil engineering (highways, roads, drainage, flood defences) * Proven track record with NEC contracts * Main contractor background essential * SMSTS or equivalent qualification (First Aid at Work desirable) * Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the Southern region * Must be eligible to work in the UK What You’ll Get * Company car or car allowance * Pension Scheme * 25 days holiday + bank holidays * Industry-leading training and development * Cycle-to-work scheme * Employee assistance programme & benefits platform * Supportive culture focused on your career growth If you have the relevant skills and experiences for this particular role, then please get in contact with BCS connect
