Location: Trowbridge, Wiltshire, Rate: £400-£450 per day Start Date: 19th October 2026 Duration: Approximately 4 weeks Working Pattern: 2-3 days per week Equipment: Own surveying equipment required Job Description BCS Connect is currently recruiting for an experienced Setting Out Engineer to support a piling project at Canal Road Industrial Estate in Trowbridge, Wiltshire. The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for setting out pile positions, ensuring all setting-out activities are completed accurately and in accordance with the project requirements. This is a short-term contract opportunity with a competitive day rate of £400-£450, depending on experience. The project is expected to run for approximately four weeks, with the engineer required for around two to three days per week. Key Responsibilities Setting out pile positions accurately on site. Ensuring setting-out activities meet project specifications and requirements. Carrying out surveying and measurement duties as required. Working independently and liaising with the site team to ensure the piling works progress efficiently. Requirements Previous experience working as a Setting Out Engineer. Experience in piling, groundworks or civil engineering projects would be advantageous. Own suitable surveying equipment. Ability to work independently and maintain accuracy.
