Site Manager – Groundworks & Civil Engineering | Northampton 📍 Location: Northampton 💰 Rate: £300–£330 per day 📅 Start: Immediate 🔄 Position: Temp to Perm BCS Connect are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to join an established civil engineering and groundworks contractor working on projects in the Northampton area. This is an excellent opportunity for a Site Manager looking for an immediate start, with the potential to move into a permanent position following a successful temporary period. 🏗️ The Role You will be responsible for the day-to-day management and delivery of groundworks and civil engineering projects, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, on programme and to the required quality standards. Key Responsibilities: * Manage the day-to-day running of site operations * Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, site teams and labour * Plan and programme works to ensure project deadlines are met * Oversee groundworks, roads and sewers and S278 works * Ensure all works are completed in accordance with drawings and specifications * Monitor health & safety and maintain high site standards * Carry out site inductions, toolbox talks and briefings * Liaise with clients, engineers, subcontractors and project management teams * Monitor progress, quality and productivity * Manage site documentation, RAMS and daily records * Identify and resolve any issues affecting programme or delivery ✅ Key Requirements: * Previous experience as a Site Manager within groundworks/civil engineering * Strong knowledge of groundworks, roads & sewers * Experience working on Section 278 (S278) works * Proven ability to manage subcontractors and site teams * Good understanding of construction drawings and specifications * Strong knowledge of Health & Safety procedures * Excellent communication and organisational skills * SMSTS * CSCS * First Aid desirable * Full UK driving licence desirable 💷 What's on Offer: * £300–£330 per day * Immediate start * Temp to Perm opportunity * Long-term work with an established civil engineering contractor * Opportunity to secure a permanent position 📞 Interested?
