BCS Connect are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor on behalf of our client, a specialist groundworks contractor.
The Role: Based in Eastleigh, Southampton, this is an office-based role with occasional site visits. You will support the Commercial Manager and work closely with the Construction Manager across a variety of domestic residential projects.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing costs and valuations for groundworks packages, including roads, sewers, foundations, substructure works, and externals.
- Preparing and maintaining spreadsheets/tick sheets based on BOQs provided by estimators.
- Quoting for and managing additional client-requested works.
- Ensuring all commercial processes are carried out accurately and efficiently.
The Candidate: Our client is looking for someone who can hit the ground running, with:
- Groundworks surveying experience (subcontractor background preferred).
- Strong track record in domestic residential projects.
- IT proficiency, especially with spreadsheets.
- A hardworking, systematic approach, able to work both independently and as part of a team.
The Package:
- Competitive salary £60,000 – £100,000 (depending on experience).
