BCS Connect has an outstanding opportunity for a seasoned Contracts Manager to oversee a portfolio of civils projects for one of our key clients — a major groundworks contractor with an enviable reputation in the market. This is a dynamic, hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives on juggling multiple sites and delivering results to the highest standard. The Role * Manage multiple live sites from mobilisation through to completion, ensuring safety, quality, and commercial goals are consistently achieved. * Oversee groundworks, roads & sewers, and S278 schemes, liaising with site teams and the wider project delivery staff. * Maintain strong client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact for all site-related matters. * Ensure programme delivery stays on track while actively resolving any issues before they escalate. * Support and develop site teams, promoting a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement. What We’re Looking For * Experienced Contracts Manager or Senior Project Manager with a proven background in groundworks, deep drainage, road construction, and Section 278 works. * Strong leadership with the ability to manage multi-site operations across different regions. * Excellent commercial awareness and familiarity with working alongside QS teams to protect project margins. * Full understanding of health & safety regulations and construction compliance. * SMSTS, CSCS Manager Card, and full UK driving licence required. NRSWA and Temporary Works Coordinator are advantageous. The Package * £90,000 – £110,000 per annum (depending on experience and value you bring). * Company car or car allowance + fuel card. * Discretionary annual bonus. * 23 days holiday + Bank Holidays. * Pension scheme and ongoing professional development support.
